As part of an annual tradition, Maryland’s Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carey M. Wright, along with local education leaders, visited two schools in Montgomery County to kick off the new academic year. Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Thomas W. Taylor accompanied the group throughout the visit Friday morning.
“Visiting Argyle Middle School and Odessa Shannon Middle School today underscored the strong work happening across Montgomery County,” Wright said. Adding that she saw “committed educators, engaged students and programs that reflect MCPS’s dedication to excellence.”
Wright reiterated that the state will continue to support MCPS, “through strategic investments that expand opportunities and strengthen instruction so every student has the tools to succeed.”…
