Fort Bragg to Open Campus-Style Dining Venue and Launch Microtransit Program

Fort Bragg will unveil Rally Point Bistro at the end of September. This campus-style eating spot sits next to the Tolson Youth Activities Center off Normandy Drive. The installation is one of five Army posts trying out privatized campus dining locations.

“When you hear camp-style dining, it’s exactly what it sounds like,” said garrison commander Col. Luke Wittmer during an Aug. 19 quarterly Community Action Council meeting, according to The Fayetteville Observer. “If you’ve been to a college campus, those campus dining halls provide really good food, really good nutrition and it’s available multiple hours of the day.”

Two spots have opened at Fort Hood, Texas. One each at Fort Drum, New York, and Fort Carson, Colorado. The first campus-style eating place at Fort Hood has more than 3,000 recipes spread across seven food stations and a food truck…
