(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Pueblo Police Department (PPD) Special Investigation Division detectives and other agencies executed warrants for suspects involved in a prior shooting of a child and successfully arrested three suspects on Thursday, Aug. 27.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., search warrants were executed at five homes from North Colorado Springs to the City of Pueblo, according to PPD. They said two people were taken into custody who were related to the shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, Aug. 15, near Dillon Drive and West 29th Street, and the third suspect involved in this case was arrested in Prowers County.
The participating agencies involved in the search warrants were:
- Colorado Springs Police Department Tactical Enforcement Unit
- El Paso County Sheriff’s Office SWAT
- Prowers County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado Bureau of Investigation
- Federal Bureau of Investigation
- Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
- PPD SWAT.
