Recovery operations continue from two damaging severe weather events.
Will County residents, businesses, and private nonprofit organizations impacted by recent severe weather are now eligible for low-interest federal disaster loans following the July 27 storms that impacted the region. Local, state, and federal agencies will be visible in various communities over the next week as recovery and assessment efforts continue from the August 11 severe weather.
“Will County has experienced unprecedented waves of severe weather within a two-week window, leading to significant property damage,” said Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director Allison Anderson. “Assistance is now available for the July storms and we are actively collaborating with state and federal officials to assess damage and determine what assistance will be available for the August storms.”…
