Hub City Drops Sunday Shootout at Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — In its final road game of 2026, Hub City almost climbed out of an early hole. The ‘Burgers trailed by nine but rallied late to bring the tying run on deck in the top of the ninth in Greensboro. The Grasshoppers (77-49, 36-24) held on to beat the Spartanburgers (57-69, 23-36) 10-7.

Rehabber Garrett McMillan got the start for the Grasshoppers and worked around a base hit in each of his two innings of work. Anthony Astudillo (L, 0-1) stepped to the rubber for his High-A debut in the bottom of the first. A strikeout started the afternoon, but Edward Florentino singled, and Yordany De Los Santos smacked a two-run homer to put Greensboro in front. Astudillo started both the second and third innings with back-to-back walks, but the righty managed two scoreless innings.

Hung-Leng Chang (W, 6-6) entered to pitch the third for the Grasshoppers. He started his afternoon with a pair of walks. Gleider Figuereo singled to load the bases with no outs.
