A portion of Sprinkle Road near Portage will be closed to through traffic effective immediately through sometime in October, and some residents are worried this could cause reckless driving in neighborhoods.
The city has announced plans to shut down S Ave. to E. V Ave. along Sprinkle Road, which crosses through Pavilion and Brady townships near Portage and Vicksburg.

Although local traffic will still be able to access Sprinkle Road, there are some people who worry that construction could result in people taking side roads through neighborhoods where some residents have said speeding has been an issue before.
