AUSTIN — Thousands of second homes on Galveston County’s Bolivar Peninsula — including beach cabins on Crystal Beach — could eventually be pushed out of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association under a proposal before a TWIA committee Tuesday.
The association’s Legislative and External Affairs Committee is considering whether to recommend changing state law to limit TWIA residential coverage to owner-occupied homesteads.
