ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – After an Albuquerque community with scarce nearby food sources lost its only grocery store for miles, a brand new supermarket is nearing opening day.
The plans are laid, finishing touches are underway and a bold “El Mezquite Market” sign towers over the South Broadway community.
All signs point to a near opening for the new market, two years in the making, in a neighborhood without a grocery store for miles…
