Dolly Parton’s legacy is still being felt in Southern Nevada, where renewed calls are growing to restore funding for her Imagination Library book program after deliveries were paused.
In October 2025, it was announced that an education-focused grant that helped fund the program’s mission was not renewed during the Nevada state legislative session. As a result, book deliveries were paused for children registered in the program through the local organization Storied.
