PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Tasha Kummer, who is fighting to keep the Greenville-Pickens Speedway alive, said she has signed a purchase agreement for the track.
The speedway hosted NASCAR’s first-ever start-to-finish live televised race in 1971.
Kummer’s group now has to raise $3.7 million to close on the racetrack. She said they have months, not weeks, to reach that goal, but they are in what she calls the “final lap.”…
