Troopers identify driver killed in Knox County rollover crash

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol has identified the driver killed in a crash on Oak Ridge Highway.

According to a THP preliminary report, a Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on Oak Ridge Highway when it entered the turn lane to turn left onto Harrell Road on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

THP said the truck did not yield the right of way and crossed over the double yellow line, where it hit the left side of a Jeep Wrangler being driven by 58-year-old Michael Gann, of Knoxville. Gann tried to overcorrect, but flipped about five times before coming to rest on its wheels…
