Missing Cobb County father found safe after search

A Cobb County man who had been missing out of Fannin County since Friday night has been found safe, authorities said Monday evening.

James Hammond was spotted walking in the area where he was last seen, according to the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were going to meet with Hammond and speak with him.

The Fannin County Emergency Management Agency confirmed Hammond was located safe and thanked everyone who shared his information and helped with the search.
