NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Three Tennessee lawmakers from both parties are raising questions about nuclear waste storage as the state moves forward with its proposed Nuclear Lifecycle Innovation Campus (NLIC).
State Rep. Kelly Keisling (R-Byrdstown), state Sen. Heidi Campbell (D-Nashville), and state Rep. Ed Butler (R-Rickman) have each written to Gov. Bill Lee, expressing concerns ranging from where nuclear waste could be stored to what protections would be in place for Tennessee communities.
