ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man is in custody after fathering a baby with his girlfriend’s underage daughter.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the victim went to the hospital on March 2 and told hospital staff she’d been sexually abused by her mother’s boyfriend, Robert C. Higgins.
After the victim gave birth, she was interview on July 8 by St. Louis Police and members of the state’s Children’s Division. She told authorities Higgins forced himself on her several times at their home in College Hill, typically while her mother was at work.
