Eagle is arguing over what should go in its irrigation canals.
The Eagle Sewer District (ESD) wants to spend about $20 million to treat wastewater to Idaho’s Class A standard and send it down the Farmers Union Ditch Company (FUDC) canal to water lawns, parks, and farms.
Class A water is legal for irrigation, but is not drinking water. Recycled water is not in the canal yet, but is expected between 2027 and 2029…
