Laredo leaders head West in search of water sources

McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — A delegation of leaders and residents from the South Texas town of Laredo are heading West in search of answers and information on future water sources as they struggle to meet water needs.

Three Laredo City Council members, along with the city’s utilities director and several members of the nonprofit Rio Grande International Study Center, left for El Paso on Monday to meet with leaders and experts in the West Texas border city for help with future water needs.

The group then plans to head to Tucson, Arizona, and meet with officials there in the desert town during their four-day trip…
