ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – Light snow coated parts of Southcentral this morning in some of the higher elevations. Most of the snow looks to have fallen above 2,000′, although some flurries or flakes did make it lower. While this isn’t true termination dust, it is a sign of cooler weather heading our way across the state. We’ll certainly see some of the cooler weather over the next few mornings across Alaska.

Ready or not, winter will be here before we know it. Following the light snow that we saw across parts of Southcentral, the sunshine has made a quick return. This will be the general trend through the rest of today and into the middle of the week. While some light rain showers and snow will still exist, most of that is shifting east/southeast into the Copper River Basin and eventually into Southeast Alaska…
