Detroit tenant spends week without water amid landlord, utility dispute

DETROIT – A Detroit man spent seven days without running water in his home after his landlord failed to pay the water bill — leaving him caught in the middle of a dispute between his property management company and the city’s water department.

Donald Owens, who lives on Selden Street, says his faucets ran dry for an entire week.

Friends and family dropped off cases of bottled water so he could continue living in his home while he pressed for answers…
