ONE Lexington holds neighborhood walk after Cross Keys Road shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – ONE Lexington held a neighborhood engagement walk in the Cross Keys Road area after a 26-year-old man was shot and killed. It was the first of four walks planned to check on neighbors in the area.

The organization reached a record 190 days without a homicide and is continuing work in the community. The group’s intervention method after violence is to host a neighborhood engagement walk.

Councilmember joins walk

District 11 Councilmember Jennifer Reynolds said interacting with her district after the shooting is the least she can do.

“For me this was an opportunity to let the residents of this neighborhood know that it doesn’t matter where they live or what has effected them but that their local government cares about them,” Reynolds said…
