CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Former Charlotte City Councilwoman Tiawana Brown is scheduled to be sentenced this month in federal court, according to court documents.
Brown pleaded guilty earlier this year to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with COVID-19 relief funds. Federal prosecutors accused Brown and her two daughters of obtaining more than $100,000 in relief money between April 2020 and September 2021.
