Federal regulators shut down Fresno truck driving school over English proficiency

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Federal regulators shut down a Fresno truck driving school after finding violations tied to English-language proficiency among its trainees.

Platinum Plus Truck Driving School in Fresno was closed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, according to Derek Barrs, the agency’s administrator.

Barrs said Monday that Platinum Plus Driving School’s Fresno location was among the schools the administration had shut down, accusing it of training 36 drivers who were later found not to have English proficiency…
