Man sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to raping woman at knifepoint in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man who was charged with raping a woman at knifepoint in Lancaster last year has been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.

Jose Miguel Matos-Seda, 44, previously pleaded guilty in Lancaster County court last month to a single count of felony rape. Judge Todd Brown subsequently sentenced him to 6.5 to 20 years in prison.

The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office had initially charged him with two counts of rape, two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of sexual assault and terroristic threats.

According to the DA’s office, Matos-Seda, who has no fixed address, “forced a knife to a woman’s throat,” making her undress before raping her at an East King Street residence in March of 2025…
