MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner Jr. signed off on the radio for the last time on Monday.
Bonner Jr. served eight years as the sheriff and spent 46 years in total at the sheriff’s office.
“It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve all of you, the men and women of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, as your sheriff. I wish you nothing but the best in the future. God bless you all. Stay safe. Car 20,” said Bonner Jr. on the radio.
