The Alabama Power Foundation announced that two Chilton County students received a $2,500 scholarship in the inaugural year of its Community Scholars Program.
Isabella High School’s Anniston Taylor and Tori Gilliland of Chilton County High School were both selected to receive the one-time $2,500 scholarship for use at their community college, college or university of choice this fall.
The Alabama Power Foundation launched the Community Scholars Program in April 2026. The program is available to high school seniors who reside in Alabama Power’s 59-county service territory and who demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community commitment.
