Off-duty N.J. cop strikes, kills 19-year-old pedestrian

An off-duty police officer driving in Camden struck and killed a 19-year-old pedestrian on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The Camden County Police Department officer was traveling west on Admiral Wilson Boulevard near 16th Street at 12:50 a.m. when the pedestrian entered the road and was hit, the prosecutor’s office said.

The off-duty officer and an on-duty Delaware River Port Authority officer stopped to help the pedestrian before emergency responders arrived, officials said…
