Bright Spot: Dream playset built for Penfield girl battling cancer

Penfield, N.Y. (WHAM) — 2-year-old Katelyn Madison is your typical toddler. Her favorite colors are pink and purple, and she loves Ms. Rachel and Play-Doh.

But the fun of being a kid took a backseat earlier this year.

“This is really important to my family. Kate was diagnosed with a really rare type of leukemia in February of this year,” said Kelly Madison, Katelyn’s mother. “Less than 12 kids a year get diagnosed with this.”…
