ATHENS, Ga. (WSAV) — Former Savannah Christian Preparatory School defensive lineman Elijah Griffin spoke about the support he’s received from the Coastal Empire and the wealth of recent college football talent from the area Tuesday.
Griffin was asked about how he’s handled high expectations placed upon him since his arrival at Georgia.
“I think my support system, my grandma and my uncle, they really harped on, as a kid, that I was always the biggest person in the room and people looked at me differently,” he said. “Even as a little kid, having that support system saying ‘Hey Elijah, you got this,’ and that positive self-talk.”…
