If you’re like me, you are very curious about the forecast that the Old Farmer’s Almanac puts out every year, especially when it’s talking about Winter. This season, 2026 into 2027, the Almanac predicts that some of us will have a mild winter and others will freeze our faces off when Old Man Winter shows up.
Winter Could Be a Breeze for Some New Englanders
The almanac says that the Southern part of the region will have a snowier, more challenging winter. So, the bottom half of New Hampshire and Vermont into the Western part of Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
If you live in the Northern part of New England, including the entire State of Maine and the upper two thirds of Vermont and New Hampshire, you could experience a fairly mild and dry winter.
When is the Most Snow Supposed to Fall this Winter in New England?
If you are a skiier, you are going to be happy if you live in central New England where most of the white stuff is expected to fall. The Almanac says that the snow will fall in mid and late December, mid-January and early to late March. That seems pretty normal to me.
