HOPE, Ark. — The death Sunday of a 4-year-old girl who suffered fatal injuries in an alleged severe abuse case has led to charges being upgraded against two people, including the child’s mother.
The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office has arrested James Ivey, 33, of Emmet, Ark., on charges of capital murder, kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a minor.
