A national magazine has been ranking the best songs about every state recently, and the Arkansas list features a couple of active Fayetteville musicians.
Paste Magazine’s “The 10 best songs about Arkansas ever made” was published on Aug. 24 and included Fayetteville artist Nick Shoulders and his 2018 song, “Snakes & Waterfalls,” at No. 7 on the list, and Dylan Earl’s 2023 song “I Saw the Arkansas” was ranked No. 1.
Gar Hole Records, the label co-founded by Shoulders that has Fayetteville ties and recently moved its headquarters to New Orleans, also gets a healthy shoutout…
