ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Four local school districts in northern Illinois received funding from a $15 million state initiative designed to help fill vacant teaching positions.
The Dakota, Dixon, Rochelle and Rockford school districts are among 100 high-need districts statewide selected to receive a portion of the funds through the Illinois State Board of Education’s Teacher Vacancy Grant Pilot Program.
