EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (WNYT) – A growing dispute over local police working with federal immigration agents is now reaching county leaders and the courts.
People are expected to speak at a Rensselaer County public forum at 6 p.m. in East Greenbush about local law enforcement cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Groups including Troy Indivisible and Rensselaer County Women for Change are calling on county leaders to follow New York’s Local Cops, Local Crimes Act.
