The High Holidays arrive before the start of fall this year, with Rosh Hashanah beginning at sundown on Friday, Sept. 11. Bay Area restaurants, bakeries, markets, wineries and retailers have what you need to celebrate the Jewish New Year, whether you prefer to pick up a complete meal, select dishes a la carte, purchase round challahs or shop to prepare your own holiday meal.
Here is our annual guide to sources across the Bay Area for holiday foods. Because this list was compiled ahead of the holidays, contact the purveyors to make sure items are in stock. Did we miss any? Let us know at [email protected].
