EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office officials say a man is in jail on child molesting charges.
According to an affidavit, detectives received a report from the Indiana Department of Child Services stating that a 12-year-old victim had disclosed to their current foster parent that their previous caregiver had touched her inappropriately.
Officials say the victim told deputies that the offender, later identified as James Baugher, was in the basement with them. The victim says that’s when Baugher assaulted them.
