Georgia Heat Index Could Reach 107 Degrees Wednesday

Dangerous heat and isolated thunderstorms are expected across north and central Georgia Wednesday, with heat index values topping 100 degrees in many areas and reaching as high as 107 degrees in portions of northwest Georgia. A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. for parts of northwest Georgia, while isolated afternoon thunderstorms are possible in central and far northeast Georgia.
