CAMDEN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — For many students across Oneida and Madison Counties, summer break is ending a little earlier this year. Several school districts are heading back to class before Labor Day, Sept. 7, including Camden.
“We looked at the 180-day schedule, the required days for school for our students, and to make sure we’re in compliance and matching the hours of instruction. It led us to a calendar that began before Labor Day,” said Jason Evangelist, superintendent of the Camden Central School District.
