EL DORADO, Ark.(KTVE/KARD) — Arkansas voters will have another decision to make this fall — this time on how communities can use public money to promote economic development. Issue Three is a proposed amendment to the Arkansas Constitution focused on economic development. If approved, it would give local communities the authority to create what are called economic development districts.
The measure would give communities more tools to compete for businesses, housing, infrastructure and other development. A yes vote would support changing the Arkansas Constitution to allow for the creation of these economic development districts.
