Anchorage police receive funding to upgrade crime monitoring system

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The Anchorage Assembly an upgrade to the Anchorage Police Department Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) of over a half a million dollars.

The budget expenditure has been on the agenda for several meetings and postponed several times. Assembly members approved funding not to exceed $598,998.10 on the RTCC.

Also on Tuesday’s agenda is an ordinance to change municipal code surrounding surveillance and privacy. That item will be open for public comment…
