19-year-old arraigned on dozens of charges in string of violent Columbus shootings

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A 19-year-old man was arraigned Wednesday morning on dozens of charges tied to a three-week stretch of gun violence that investigators say includes a late July shooting at a home, an August shooting at another residence and a drive-by attack on a funeral procession at Antioch Jordan Church on Woodland Ave.

Sincear Cokes is facing charges that include felony discharge, unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, carrying concealed weapons violations and felonious assault. The charges are connected to three separate cases that occurred between July 29 and August 17.

On July 29, police responded to 2722 Barrows Road on reports of a house being struck by gunfire. Surveillance video showed four individuals walking in the street, stopping in front of the residence and firing multiple rounds with automatic handguns, according to court documents…
