A bison has traveled a long way to find her forever home in Edinboro. Long Island Lucy comes all the way from Long Island New York and now resides at the Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm located at 5970 Koman Road in Edinboro Pennsylvania.
Lucy had originally lived at the Long Island Ecology Center and Zoo which was in the process of being dismantled so Lucy and all of the other animals need homes so the Buffalo Farm in Edinboro stepped in and adopted her. She was the last animal to leave the zoo.
She arrived late on Monday night spicy and somewhat tame bison who has been living alone since she was only a year old. Now 18-year-old Lucy will be living alongside Sierra a 23-year-old bison in hopes to live out the rest of their retirement…
