Corn Belt Agronomists Share One Word to Sum Up August’s Impact

August ended with 57% of the U.S. corn crop rated good to excellent, according to the USDA Crop Progress report released Aug. 31. The USDA reported 92% of the corn crop had reached the dough growth stage, 62% had reached the dented growth stage, and 13% was rated mature by the week that ended Aug. 30.
