WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while riding a motorcycle in Northeast.
According to MPD, the crash happened at 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Bladensburg Road.

Police said the vehicle struck the officer at the intersection, and EMS crews transported the officer to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
