Fox 2 anchor Roop Raj in a Facebook is trying to coax GOP U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers into showing up for a debate the station has scheduled for Sept. 15. So far, only Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed has committed to showing up.
Both candidates were invited on Aug. 5.
“We will have a microphone and podium here at Fox 2 waiting for Mike Rogers on September 15th at 7pm, ” Raj posted on Facebook. “We gave both candidates more than 40 days notice to appear. There is still time. We will welcome Rogers even if he shows up on the day of. This is not a challenge but an opportunity for both candidates to speak to Southeast Michigan and the 5 million people in the viewing area.”…
