Case against Lancaster man in July Fourth shooting of woman while fleeing advances: DA

The attempted homicide case against a 30-year-old man is headed for county court after police said he fired nearly a dozen rounds from a handgun in an attempt to kill a woman in Lancaster County on July Fourth.

Early on July Fourth, Skyler Barr, of Lancaster, fired 11 shots at a woman near South Fourth and Cherry streets in Columbia. The woman was shot at least once in the backside, the district attorney’s office said.
