TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Another round of late storms has cleared up this morning, but leaves a few areas with some patchy fog this morning, along with some low clouds here and there. Temperatures are in the upper 70s, and it is a little on the muggy side.
A few spotty showers are possible this morning, but rain chances will increase to 60% this afternoon. Storms build around lunchtime near the coast and will grow in coverage. By this evening, most storms will move north, and the heaviest rain will be in Polk County and up along the Nature Coast.
The pattern will switch up heading into the holiday weekend. More of an onshore wind will develop, leading to morning showers near the coast, spreading inland during the afternoons.
This will leave the coastline drier in the afternoons and evenings, with more of the rain inland.
Temperatures will stay warm and muggy in the upper 80s and low 90s each day.
