MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men are facing charges after a postal inspector and Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies intercepted over two pounds of fentanyl sent through the mail.
Romi Butler, 47, and Herbert Harvey, 55, were both arrested in North Memphis after the package was dropped off in the 2100 block of Curry Avenue Tuesday morning.
The SCSO said detectives received information from a USPIS inspector about a possible illegal narcotics package coming into the Memphis, Shelby County, area from Texas, and a narcotics K9 was able to sniff out the drugs.
Deputies were waiting outside the residence on Curry and said they observed two men collect the package.
