AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – An Augusta mother faces multiple child cruelty charges after authorities allegedly found six children living in hazardous conditions.
Tisheika Washington, 33, was arrested Tuesday at her residence on the 3800 block of Mike Padgett Highway. She has been charged with six felony counts of cruelty to children in the second degree.
According to Richmond County Sheriff’s Office records, deputies discovered the conditions while attempting to serve an eviction. The home’s front door was inoperable because the interior handle had been broken off, forcing deputies to enter through the rear.
