Douglas County inmate escapes from work detail, deputies say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Douglas County inmate escaped from a work detail Thursday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.

Around 9:30 a.m., Isaac Kindle reportedly left the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office car wash, where he was assigned, in a sedan driven by a woman.

The driver was later stopped in Cobb County and taken into custody, but Kindle was not in the vehicle, deputies said.
