Naples resident Joe Walton, 53, is a doorman. He doesn’t work at any of the Naples area fancy hotels. He doesn’t open car doors and meet and greet guests as they come in. He is not that kind of “doorman.”
Walton is more of a grinder. Both literally and figuratively, and instead of opening doors—he makes them!
That’s 34 years and still counting, Walton is a guy much more comfortable in work clothes than a sport shirt and tailored nice pants. He can be seen in any number of Naples buildings with tool belt and utensils in hand— sawing, drilling, measuring, laying trim, installing bolts, tightening screws and all other items required in the installment of new doors and other hardware…
