NEW YORK — Wednesday’s storm impacted much of Western New York and the Finger Lakes region. Many homes in Ontario, Wayne County, Webster, Monroe County, and the Shelby Center in Orleans County saw significant damage. We went to those areas to see for ourselves and to talk with witnesses.

Storm damage in Wayne County: 8 homes on Halesworth Lane in Ontario hit hard by severe weather
Eight homes were hit hard by storm damage in a Wayne County neighborhood, leaving residents searching for their belongings scattered across yards.
News10NBC’s Erin Mahon followed up with families on Halesworth Lane in the Town of Ontario. As one family showed the items tossed into their yard, their neighbor pointed out a tarp that had flown across the road, saying it was theirs.
The damage varied from home to home. Some homes only had a shingle missing, while others had an entire row of trees uprooted.
Families left debris in their yards to ensure insurance claims were as accurate as possible. The Fry family showed their backyard where their shed was completely uprooted from its foundation and turned about 180 degrees…
